The BCH Auxiliary Night Before Christmas
‘Twas the night before Christmas in 2009
When Judy and Jim took down the BCH sign.
All the tallies were done in the folder so well,
Recording the money from the tips and each sale.
They scurried home to total them all
And add up the deposits – none of them small.
The number kept growing, by dollar and dollar;
When the total was reached they let out a holler!
Who could believe that in these tough times,
There’d be so many dollars, quarters, nickels and dimes.
Yet when all of the money was put in a pot,
It totaled $2,329.35 – QUITE A LOT !!
So thanks are due to oh! so many,
For helping bring in every last penny.
Volunteers remain ever so dear,
To one and all we say, “Happy New Year”.
